A fast adaptive diffusion wavelet method for Burger's equation
نویسندگان
چکیده
A fast adaptive diffusion wavelet method is developed for solving the Burger’s equation. The diffusion wavelet is developed in 2006 (Coifman and Maggioni, 2006) and its most important feature is that it can be constructed on any kind ofmanifold. Classes of operators which can be used for construction of the diffusion wavelet include second order finite difference differentiation matrices. The efficiency of the method is that the same operator is used for the construction of the diffusion wavelet as well as for the discretization of the differential operator involved in the Burger’s equation. The diffusionwavelet is used for the construction of an adaptive grid as well as for the fast computation of the dyadic powers of the finite difference matrices involved in the numerical solution of Burger’s equation. In this paper, we have considered one dimensional and two dimensional Burger’s equation with Dirichlet and periodic boundary conditions. For each test problem the CPU time taken by fast adaptive diffusion wavelet method is compared with the CPU time taken by finite differencemethod and observed that the proposedmethod takes lesser CPU time.We have also verified the convergence of the given method. © 2014 Elsevier Ltd. Non-linear Anti-Geometric Diffusion based Adaptive Singular Value Decomposition Method for Efficient Image De-noising
˗Image de-noising is an important challenging issue in image pre-processing. Two popular methods to the problem are partial differential equation (PDE) based nonlinear diffusion method and singular value decomposition (SVD) method. Various image de-noising algorithms based on these two methods have been independently developed. This paper proposes an approach for image de-noising by performing ...

In this paper, we derive a novel numerical method to find out the numerical solution of fractional partial differential equations (PDEs) involving Caputo-Fabrizio (C-F) fractional derivatives. We first find out the approximation formula of C-F derivative of function tk. We approximate the C-F derivative in time with the help of the Legendre spectral method and approximation formula o...

Wavelets and radial basis functions (RBF) have ubiquitously proved very successful to solve different forms of partial differential equations (PDE) using shifted basis functions, and as with the other meshless methods, they have been extensively used in scattered data interpolation. The current paper proposes a framework that successfully reconciles RBF and adaptive wavelet method to solve the ...
متن کاملA Differential Evolution and Spatial Distribution based Local Search for Training Fuzzy Wavelet Neural Network
Abstract Many parameter-tuning algorithms have been proposed for training Fuzzy Wavelet Neural Networks (FWNNs). Absence of appropriate structure, convergence to local optima and low speed in learning algorithms are deficiencies of FWNNs in previous studies. In this paper, a Memetic Algorithm (MA) is introduced to train FWNN for addressing aforementioned learning lacks. Differential Evolution...
